I’ve been a HUGE fan of Respect Magazine since it came out — it’s one of the only magazines that I always buy and save my issues. Every issue is packed with such incredible photography that keeping my issues is like having a photography book collection. So — you can imagine how excited I am that they ran a 9 page feature of my work in the new issue! The feauture includes my photos of Jim Jones, T.I., The Clipse, Fabolous, and Busta Rhymes. Hoodie Allen “Leap Year” Album Cover + Packaging Art [ Photos by DianaLevine.com ]

Earlier this month, I shot the album cover + album art for Hoodie Allen’s new album “Leap Year” — it was just released, and you can listen/download it online (free!). It was a blast working with Hoodie, Michael and the rest of his team — such awesome+talented people to hang out with, and we had some wild adventures together, shooting his promo photos and album cover in Jersey, Coney Island, and Long Island.

Here are some photos from my album cover / EPK photo shoot for Care Bears on Fire / S-Curve Records, shot back in June 2010. It was such a fun day, and I can’t tell you how awesome these girls are. So full of talent and energy (and youth!), I can’t wait to see what they do next. Their new EP “Girls Like it Loud” is out on October 12th. 

Bumble and bumble 2010: Photos by DianaLevine.com

In January, I did a 3 day shoot with Bumble and bumble - 96 portraits in total. It was so much fun - in addition to being hair geniuses, the people at Bumble and bumble are so incredibly nice, kind, and funny. It was a pleasure shooting every portrait. Many thanks especially to Cara, Wendy, Jess, Jung, and Glen. I also worked with an amazing make up artist - Tamar Vezirian (who has many other identities: comedian, actress, spray-tanning expert). She did an awesome job on the make up, and also is full of the some of the funniest stories I’ve ever heard. One of the best parts of my job is meeting new people, and this definitely counted - I loved getting to know everyone’s personalities, and helping everyone express their personalities in photos.
