[ Hoodie Allen | Photo by DianaLevine.com ] Hoodie Allen just released the cover for his upcoming album “All American” that I shot earlier this year — I love it! We had such a blast shooting in Long Island, and I’m so happy with the design by Mike Berg. I’m so flipping excited and proud of everything Hoodie does! Being onstage at his sold-out Webster Hall show last year showed me just how massive and wild his fanbase is, and I can’t wait to see what he’s up to next. You can catch him in a city near you during his upcoming tour!

We had a really fun day, going to Hot 97 with Angie Martinez, driving around the city, and hanging out backstage and sound-checking before his Bowery Ballroom show. Such a fun and sweet person to photograph. Some of his songs you probably know are Airplanes, Nothin’ On You (feat. Bruno Mars), Magic (feat. I loooooove this album (“Betty Wright: The Movie”) — It’s an amazing thing to shoot an album that you seriously love. We shot the photos on South Beach in Miami earlier this year, and it was an incredible day with the legendary Ms. B. You can buy the album online here! The album, which was co-produced by Questlove of the Roots, features guest performances by Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Joss Stone, and More. Relaunch of DianaLevine.com — New Sections, New Photos + More

I’m really excited that I’ve officially relaunched my website [ http://www.dianalevine.com ] ! I’ve been working hard for the last few months at reorganizing my portfolio. I’ve added a few new sections of work (Advertising, Album Covers), and have broken my “Celebrity” sections into two — one for portraits and studio work, and one for documentary projects. I’ve added new behind-the-scenes photos, updated my press section, and have added lots of new photos throughout the site. Let me know what you think!

I just caught another one of my Converse “Black Canvas” ad campaigns in Nylon Guys Magazine. You can check it out in the new September issue with Paul Rudd on the cover (the ad is in the beginning of the magazine, in the middle of the table of contents). I love this ad campaign, and it was such a blast to shoot. Awesome brand, art director, producer, models, stylist, hair stylist, assistant, and more! Spinner’s “2010 in Pictures and Words”

Spinner put together a great round up of photos from 2010 — “2010 in Pictures and Words: Throughout 2010, Spinner’s staff and freelance photographers have captured images of many of the year’s most influential stars in music. We proudly show off our top pictures of the year in the following photo gallery, with the photographers describing in their own words the experience of pointing their lens at these artists.”

It was fun looking through the gallery and remembering all of these amazing experiences from 2010. I’ve had such a blast shooting for Aol Music and many of their sites (Spinner, TheBoombox, PopEater, TheBoot and more). I can’t tell you how incredible the staff at Aol is — they are a group of amazingly talented, funny, and warm people, who were an awesome part of my 2010. Aol love!!
