[ Hoodie Allen | Photo by DianaLevine.com ] Hoodie Allen just released the cover for his upcoming album “All American” that I shot earlier this year — I love it! We had such a blast shooting in Long Island, and I’m so happy with the design by Mike Berg. I’m so flipping excited and proud of everything Hoodie does! Being onstage at his sold-out Webster Hall show last year showed me just how massive and wild his fanbase is, and I can’t wait to see what he’s up to next. You can catch him in a city near you during his upcoming tour!

[ Betty Wright | Photos by DianaLevine.com ] I just got my copy of the Betty Wright And The Roots album cover I shot in Miami back in July! I loooooove this album (“Betty Wright: The Movie”) — It’s an amazing thing to shoot an album that you seriously love. We shot the photos on South Beach in Miami earlier this year, and it was an incredible day with the legendary Ms. B. You can buy the album online here! The album, which was co-produced by Questlove of the Roots, features guest performances by Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Joss Stone, and More. Huge thanks to everyone on set for this shoot, especially Patrice Parker and Adoch Acemah, who helped with everything from styling, to hair, to props, to filming the behind-the-scenes video! I shot this album cover for Betty Wright And The Roots in Miami a few months back, and I’m a HUGE fan of her music! The album “Betty Wright: The Movie” comes out November 15th, and you can pre-order your copy here! Earlier this month, I shot the album cover + album art for Hoodie Allen’s new album “Leap Year” — it was just released, and you can listen/download it online (free!). It was a blast working with Hoodie, Michael and the rest of his team — such awesome+talented people to hang out with, and we had some wild adventures together, shooting his promo photos and album cover in Jersey, Coney Island, and Long Island.

A few months ago, I shot an album cover and inside art for Danny Krivit, through !K7 Records and Strut. The shoot took me to really interesting places I definitely wouldn’t have been otherwise - a record warehouse in Coney Island, and a record storage facility in the city. I love what the art director did with the design, and am looking forward to listening to the album.

Esoteric / Saving Seamus Ryan album cover + interior art | DianaLevine.com

Last year I shot the album cover and interior art for Boston hip hop artist Esoteric. This is for his new album, Saving Seamus Ryan, and shot in Newton, Massachusetts. The funniest part of the shoot was putting peanut butter on Seamus’ face, to keep his dog, Logan, near his head. We’ve been working with Seamus/Esoteric for a really long time. In fact, one of Matt’s first music videos in Boston featured Esoteric alongside Mike Stylz. I’m really happy with how the album art came out. My favorite part is the inside, which reads like a book and has some of my favorite photos from the shoot. Esoteric is another example of someone really talented, and equally wonderful as a person.
