I’m so excited to have been featured in a commercial for Britney Spears’ perfume “Radiance” :) I caught the spot airing on MTV last night, so keep an eye out for it! It was such a fun process and shoot, and it was perfect, because I’ve had Britney’s perfume for years! (Matt bought me “Curious” many years ago, and I’ve loved it ever since). Thank you, thank you to director E.J. McLeavey-Fisher, Matt Workman, Jeremy Hammond, Susie Sobol, MTV, Britney Spears, Elizabeth Arden, and everyone else involved. It was such a new experience being in front of the camera, rather than behind it, but E.J. made it super comfortable and easy, which was amazing. Matt did an incredible job making the commercial look beautiful! The spot is for a contest at radiance.mtv.com to win a trip to New York City for New Year’s Eve. Just caught the Morning Glory promo we shot for MTV a few weeks ago. It was a fun shoot with lots of gorgeous girls. It was directed by the lovely Kim Nguyen, produced by Adam Palmer, cinematography by Matt Workman, and I was the camera operator. The movie stars Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, and Diane Keaton. <3

Big life change - we just got cable! We haven’t had TV for a couple years, and it’s been lovely. However, I got tired of everyone seeing Matt’s commercials and music videos, and never getting to see them ourselves :) It’s fun to catch things we’ve worked on. Yesterday, I caught this spot Matt shot for MTV with Prince Royce.

A behind-the-scenes time lapse of our MTV promo shoot last week for their upcoming American remake of “Skins” (I was shooting the stills for the online promotion, and Matt was DPing) - directed by Kim Nguyen and Patrick Cummings, produced by Caroline O’Hare, cinematography by Matt Workman. Can’t wait to see the spots, and the show!

Here are a series of behind-the-scenes time lapses I shot this week for MTV’s commercial for Wii Just Dance 2 x Jersey Shore. They were shot over 12 hours, and edited into 3 minutes. It always amazes me how much happens during commercial shoots, so I love that the time lapse shows much energy and movement goes into each set up, and how many people it involves: director, producers, AD, grips, gaffers, cinematographer, PAs, art, make up, talent, ACs, and so many more. This shoot was directed by Howard Grandison, produced by Adam Palmer, and cinematographer by Matt (Matt Workman). It was a fun shoot, and Snooki and Ronnie from Jersey Shore were great.

Behind the Scenes: MTV, H&M, and VMA commercial shoot

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from our shoot last week for H&M, MTV, and the VMA’s. It was such a fun night, almost felt like a sleepover at a store :) We were at H&M from 8pm until 7:30am. The spots were directed by EJ, DP’d by Mattie, and I shot the photos for the pseudo-magazine that will appear in the commercials. Looking forward to seeing the spots air!

Behind the Scenes: Miami->Bahamas->Miami->Dallas->LA->NYC / NKOTB and MTV shoots [ DianaLevine.com ]

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from a couple back-to-back travel shoots in May. The first shoot was 5 days traveling with New Kids on the Block, in Miami and on their cruise. It was such a blast - the guys are so hilarious and kind, and I love the entire tour/management/publicity/security crew. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much in 5 days in my life. We did the cruise (which was wild!), and then came back to Miami. I flew Miami to Dallas, and then Dallas to LA, where I met Matt to do a commercial shoot for MTV’s new show “Warren the Ape.” I was operating on this shoot, so it was a nice chance of pace. The commercials were directed by Brannon Stasiewicz, and should be airing sometime soon on MTV - keep an eye out! 5 days with NKOTB, 5 days in LA with MTV, and finally, home sweet home :)

MTV Featured Artist Promo: Justin Bieber | DianaLevine.com

In addition to being a still photographer, I also operate B-camera on music videos and commercials. The best part about that is working alongside my boyfriend, Matt Workman, who is a NYC DP. In October, we shot an MTV commercial for Justin Bieber. It was a two day shoot, and was cut into 7 thirty-second commercials. The first day was filmed at the MTV studios, and outside in Times Square. The second day was in a studio in Brooklyn. Filming in Times Square was wild - girls were screaming Justin’s name and going crazy. The last photo I posted is of me filming Justin, with tons of middle-school aged girls behind my back. (And you can see Matt in the third photo, filming Justin inside the MTV studios). The promos were directed by E.J. McLeavey-Fisher, who directs lots of music videos and MTV promos. MTV used a bunch of our behind-the-scenes photos on their site along with the Bieber commercials. Justin is so young, and yet really professional. He’s definitely hard-working and talented.
