Day in the Life: J. Cole [ Photos by DianaLevine.com ]

Here are some of my photos I shot for “Day in the Life: J. Cole" for Aol / TheBoombox.com (the video I shot with Elizabeth Bruneau is below). We had such a blast on this shoot — his new album Cole World went #1 this week, so it was a day filled with wildly excited fans, and there was so much energy in the air.

Here are a couple behind-the-scenes photos from the shoot:

Check out this Day in the Life video I shot with Elizabeth Bruneau with J. Cole on the day of his album release (which was the #1 selling album this week!!)

Hoodie Allen “Leap Year” Album Cover + Packaging Art [ Photos by DianaLevine.com ]

Earlier this month, I shot the album cover + album art for Hoodie Allen's new album “Leap Year” — it was just released, and you can listen/download it online (free!). It was a blast working with Hoodie, Michael and the rest of his team — such awesome+talented people to hang out with, and we had some wild adventures together, shooting his promo photos and album cover in Jersey, Coney Island, and Long Island.

Will.i.am, the week leading up to the Superbowl, Dallas TX [ Photos by DianaLevine.com ]

[ photos © http://www.dianalevine.comEarlier this month, I had the pleasure of documenting, through photos and video, Will.i.am during the week before the Superbowl, where he and the Black Eyed Peas performed during halftime. I was in Dallas, TX for a week shooting this with Aol, and it was such an adventure. Here are just a few photos from our project, taken at the gym in the Superbowl stadium, and behind the scenes while he put the finishing touches on the commercials he directed that aired during the Superbowl. You can check out a behind-the-scenes video I shot of him working out online here, a video about the Baby Peas here, and a video about the commercials here.

He is such an incredible and inspirational person to work with. You can literally see the ideas and creativity bubbling within him every minute of the day. And on top of all of his success and vision, he’s super kind, warm, and welcoming. I worked on a few other projects while in Dallas, which haven’t been released yet, so more to come :)

And for you sports fans — yes, it was pretty fun being in the Superbowl stadium! I ran around the field for a few minutes, pretending I was a football player ;) Yelling “go long!” and “touch down!” Silly, but when would I get the chance to do that again?!

I put together a little behind-the-scenes video of my Britney Spears “Radiance” commercial :) It’s been so much fun hearing from friends, colleagues, and family when they see it air! It usually airs sometime between 7pm-10pm on MTV, if you want to keep an eye out. Thanks again to EJ, Matt, Radiance, and MTV!

A behind-the-scenes time lapse of our MTV promo shoot last week for their upcoming American remake of “Skins” (I was shooting the stills for the online promotion, and Matt was DPing) - directed by Kim Nguyen and Patrick Cummings, produced by Caroline O’Hare, cinematography by Matt Workman. Can’t wait to see the spots, and the show!

Behind the Scenes: MTV, H&M, and VMA commercial shoot

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from our shoot last week for H&M, MTV, and the VMA’s. It was such a fun night, almost felt like a sleepover at a store :) We were at H&M from 8pm until 7:30am. The spots were directed by EJ, DP’d by Mattie, and I shot the photos for the pseudo-magazine that will appear in the commercials. Looking forward to seeing the spots air!

Day in the Life: Hanson [ Photos by DianaLevine.com ]

Here are some new photos from the documentary project I shot for Hanson back in April. Check out the full photo gallery and video I shot online at PopEater. It was a really fun day. It took place on the day of their last show at the Gramercy Theater (they did 5 nights in a row, each night performing a different album. The final night, they played their new album, Shout it Out). I know I’ve said this before, but they really are the kindest, most genuine guys. Totally devoted to music, to creativity, to their values, and to their fans. It was a pleasure to work with them in April and May.

OMG with Tila Tequila Music Video Behind-the-Scenes | Photos by DianaLevine.com

On Saturday, we shot a music video for OMG, with the lead actress Tila Tequila. The video was directed by Eric Eckelman, DP’d by Matt Workman, produced by Grayson Ross, for the song “My Own Adventure.” I operated B-cam, DIT’ed the footage, and shot press photos. It was a really fun day - we began in the Lower East Side, then moved to a gas station in New Jersey (where police officers would drive by in order to try to talk to Tila), and then back to Brooklyn for the final location. The footage looked awesome, and I’m excited to see the final video. Tila was a great sport, even though it was pretty chilly during much of our outdoor shooting. It’s a funny concept, and the song was awesome. I actually played it on repeat while I was editing the photos :)

Behind the Scenes: Sabriye photo shoot | DianaLevine.com

Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from my shoot last week with Sabriye. Thanks so much to Jesaca Lin for shooting all these awesome BTS photos, and video. The shoot was produced by We Came in Peace and Super!Alright! at Fast Ashley’s Studio in Williamsburg. Many thanks to Chris Butler, Barry Sonders, Kim Swift, Andrew Stevens, and Danny Randell. Hair was done by the amazing Melanie Harris, who crafted unbelievable custom wigs - on set - for the shoot. Make up was done by the wonderful Stephanie Peterson, and stylist was the lovely Evren Catlin. I had my trusty assistant Jesaca Lin by my side as well. It was such a fun shoot - Kim had put together an amazing mix, so we were basically dancing throughout the entire day. Sabriye was amazing - a total trooper, throughout countless looks. Amazing energy all day, and I love how the photos came out. Retouching guru Matthew Barela will be taking care of finalizing the images, and I can’t wait to see what We Came in Peace/Super!Alright! ends up doing with the images.
